We have a theme park close to us called Cypress Gardens that has been open since I was a little girl. I remember going with my family as a child to watch the water ski shows, look at all the beautiful flowers, and my favorite, the ice skating show. It closed for a while and then reopened when my kids were little enough to enjoy it. Complete with a really nice water park that was a god-send to Florida. We can never have too many water parks around here. The prices were good enough that we would buy each one of us a season pass and go all the time.
Due to the economy being in the shitter, Cypress Gardens abruptly closed months ago. I hated how they closed because a lot of people lost their jobs without much warning.
Now it’s all over the papers that Cypress Gardens has been sold to the owners of Legoland and will be turned into a Legoland theme park. I’m not against this change because to me, it’s better than the park being completely shut down but what did bother me were the prices. For a 1 day adult pass to Legoland, it will cost you $67.00. Children’s tickets are $57.00 each. Am I the only one that thinks that is completely crazy? Where the hell do these people think we are going to get the money to afford these ticket prices? Especially for families that have more than one child.
People in California, is Legoland a good theme park? Is it worth those ticket prices?
