Angela has been trying to get me to watch her new favorite show Skins with her for weeks and I finally caved today and agreed to watch since she babysat for me last night while I went and watched the fights with Bur and Trent. After dinner, I made myself comfortable on the couch with my laptop and told her I was ready to watch. I didn’t say how much I was going to watch because I wasn’t really sure and didn’t want to talk myself into any sort of agreement with her on how long I’d sit there. To tell the truth, I was expecting to hate it.

Now, it’s 2:40AM and I just got done watching 7 episodes back to back. I really liked it a lot. It brings back a lot of great memories of High School. *wink*

Skins is a British teen drama that follows a group of teenagers in Bristol, South West England through the two years of sixth form. The controversial plot line explores issues such as dysfunctional families, personality disorders, eating disorders, mental illness, homosexuality, and death. The show was created by father and son television writers Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain for Company Pictures,[1] and premiered on E4 on 25 January 2007.[2]

The show is notable for its casting of amateur actors and young writers. The cast are entirely replaced every two series, when the characters leave sixth form. Skins has broadcast four series, and has been commissioned up to a sixth. A Skins film is also in production, as well as an American adaptation by MTV, set in Baltimore, Maryland.

Bur, Trent, and I went to watch the XFC Fights last night at the St. Pete Times Forum. Our friends had some extra tickets and asked if we wanted to go. After we got there, we were bumped up to floor seating which was awesome! Can’t wait to go to more.

Trent got his braces on today and he looks so cute with them. He got silver braces with pink wire holders but isn’t happy with the fact that they only had a salmon pink and not a bright neon pink color.

Dear Trent,
You turn fourteen years old today. Wow! Seriously? Fourteen? Sometimes it’s hard to believe that you are this old already. Time seems to be moving so fast. A lot has changed for you in the past year and I haven’t ignored the fact that some of those changes have been hard on you. I’ve never in all my life known someone with as much heart and determination as I see in you. You know exactly what you want for your future and you are taking the steps to make it happen, even at such a young age. You have a lot of people supporting you.

This year, you received your purple belt in Brazilian Jui Jitsu. What an accomplishment! At Belt Promotions, you really put on a show and everyone loved it. I think they’re STILL talking about it!

You were asked to shoot an interview for the Documentary “Intrepid Heart” which was really neat. I can’t wait for it to come out so I can see you and hear what you said. You better have thanked me in that piece, dude! I’m waiting to see.

You became a member of The Iron Monkey Squad Grappling team and that is an honor. You competed in a grappling tournament and took second place. In 24 short days, you will be part of the Super Fight to take back your 1st place standing and I have no doubt that you will make that happen. I know that right now you are eating/breathing/sleeping that match and won’t rest until you dominate. That’s my boy!

I’m really proud of you, Trent. Not just for the MMA accomplishments but you are truly a good kid. You have one hell of a sense of humor. I think if it wasn’t for our humor, you and I would have killed each other by now. You’re absent minded as hell and convinced that you have ADD but I know it’s just your hormones going nuts and am hopeful that in just a few short years, it will pass. I love you very much!

Honestly, I’d probably be at the Emergency Room with one of my kids since I am never NOT home at 2AM.

02. What’s the last thing you spent more than $100 on?
The Vet when Hauss was sick.

I do not even own bank checks. I’m all about the visa debit card.

04. Where did the shirt you are currently wearing come from?
Wal-Mart

05. Name something that will be on your Christmas wish list:
Wow, I haven’t thought about Christmas yet but I’d like an IPOD touch for myself.

06. What color is your toothbrush?
Seriously, you might gag but I honestly, for the first time in my life, have no idea. You see, a couple of weeks ago, I bought everyone in the house new toothbrushes. I placed one in the master bathroom for Bur and 4 in the kids bathroom. One for each of them and one for me. I started out using the green and pink one until Trent let me know that “HELLO! THAT’S MINE” so I still can’t figure out which one is mine so I use the blue one. I hope that’s right.

07. Name something you collect and tell us about it.
I do not collect anything. I don’t see a reason for it.

08. Last restaurant you ate at. How was it?
Manny’s Chophouse with Bur and Faith. It was delicious. I had prime rib.

09. Who was the last person you bought a birthday card for?
I have no idea.

10. What is your worst bad habit?
Biting my nails. I wish I could stop.

11. Name a magazine to which you subscribe?
I am subscribed to a Fight magazine for Trent but I do not remember the name. I do not subscribe to any for myself.

12. Your favorite pizza toppings?
I love BBQ pizza from Pizza Hut. YUM!

13. Whose number were you looking up the last time you used a phone book?
I never use a phone book but if http://www.whitepages.com counts, I was looking up the number to Wal-Mart Pharmacy.

14. Other than family, who is the person that you love most?
I love all of my friends.

15. What is the last thing you cooked?
I cooked white rice, pasta, and corn to go with the chicken Bur was grilling on the grill for dinner last night.

16. Name something you wouldn’t want to buy used?
Socks. That is disgusting.

Left.

18. What is the last thing you remember losing?
My tweezers. I always lose my tweezers.

19. What is the ugliest piece of furniture in your house?
The boys furniture. It needs to be updated.

I know this isn’t good but I never return things.

Liz Claiborne. I’ve been loyal to that perfume since 7th grade.
